Let's Talk About Scarves

In Jakarta and all around Indonesia, the weather is hot and humid and calls for tank-tops and shorts - jeans are somewhat on the border. However, this does not mean that all of the autumn and winter clothing do not go to waste here in this country. Everywhere, I still see people with boots, scarves, and even tights. It's actually a joy to see people who choose to suffer over the heat and look fancy instead of pulling out their pajamas like they used to.
So I'd like to take this time to show all you jakartafashionistas what they are and how and when to wear these stylish accessories.

First of all, the scarf.
Scarves: Colorful Scarves are often used to brighten up simple and rather boring outfits. Wether its a square, long, or bow scarf, they can do wonders to your outfits. My tip is to keep it simple. When you look in the mirror and see that your eyes are not attracted to your scarf, take it off or change your outfit - (unless of course, you're wearing a ridiculous pattern of a scarf, then you should definitely take the scarf off). The great thing about a scarf is that you could use the scarf to keep your wardrobe fresh with new "in" prints without changing your wardrobe completely.

So here are a few pieces I found. Check them out!
